Bliss by Nancy Schatz Alton
I step into the space
I make it soothing, sacred
liminal
a place to linger, listen
spiral & breathe
I breathe here
becoming who I once was
I read
in reading my words
the world is a stage
it’s calling me back
my girl who yearns to perform
to hold the space
let the words wash over us
until they make something new
a space limitless
where the words rearrange
our atoms
until we are OK with the now
who we are
& who we will become
liminal
soothing sacred
we linger here
make a clean space
inside ourselves
dusting off time’s dirt
sweeping ourselves
onto a mysterious path
a continual arrival
we spiral
into ourselves
glad to meet again.
