RoadMap

This is what I made for you today. Or for myself:

“RoadMap: Family of 4.”

I ask: What time is it?

It’s 5 o’clock for one of us.

To the right, to the right, to the right, says another.

While I’m right in the middle of my head, head, head, like Ruth Krauss writes in one of my favorite books, “A Very Special House.” Note: I loved reading this book out loud to my kids. My kids now tell me they thought it was a creepy book. Yup, that’s pretty much how it all works, right?

I won’t pretend that I can speak for Chris.  But he’s in there. And this pretending to speak for my kids? Ridiculous.

This is totally my collage.

Sometimes it really helps to have a road map, especially since I find directions challenging.
